Different, but as good as Madden.

Pros: First person view is awesome, and don't have to listen to Madden's commentary

Cons: Takes time to get used to for Madden players

I've been playing Madden 2004 since it came out, and just bought this two weeks ago. I have to admit that it was not a very good experience trying to get use to the different feel on the control after playing Madden for so long, especially when playing in first person view. But once I got used to it (I played it for about four or five days WITHOUT PLAYING MADDEN AT ALL, which is a key. Can't switch back and forth between the two and expect to get used to the new one), I really have to appreciate how good and how fun this game really is.

This game has two major pros over Madden. The first one has to be the revolutionary first person view. While it may feel weird at times and has some flaws, you can see what actually is taking place ON THE FIELD instead of from some overhead camera from a mile away. The other advantage, obviously, is the absence of Madden's color commentary.

This game is as good as Madden 2004, people. The control feels different compare to Madden, but that's NORMAL since IT IS A DIFFERENT GAME. If it's the same, why bother to spend an extra fifty bucks to get them both? You people who don't like it just need to give it some time and get use to the control. I've read all these reviews where guys played only a game or two and they don't like it and then returned it. I can guarantee you if you actually take the time to get used to the control, you'll enjoy this game at least as much as Madden, maybe more, depending on how you like the first person view.

when i first rented this game i was like man this game might be better then madden 04 but when i started playing it i know i was totally wrong. This game is the worse football game i have ever play. If you are looking for a football game i suggest u get madden 04 cause it rocks.

IV PLAYED NFL2K,2K1,2K3 SENCE DREAMCAST CAME OUT AND JUST LOVED IT BUT DIDNT CARE MUCH FOR THE DREAMCAST. SO MY BEST FRIEND BOUGHT MADDEN 04 I LOVED IT. Not feelin this game

Aight the guy at the store was tellin me about this game and how it was soo much better then Madden 2004. So of course i was like sweet maybe it is.
Got home witht the game, poped it in, played one half, put the game back in the case and took it back to get Madden. I didnt like this game at all i thought it was just Dreamcast NFL 2K2 with newer teams. Boys if i were u i wouldnt waste my money on this game.
Madden 2004 all the way.

All Madden fans need to try this game for a week. I say a week because it doesn't play exactly like Madden but once you get the hang of it you will be hooked!

Simply Amazing!!! First person mode is awesome. ESPN presentation couldn't make it MORE realistic.
