    It's like a Dukes of Hazzard episode.

    I like hearing the "General Lee's" horn playing "Dixie" throughout the album. The theme is not done by Waylon Jennings but it's ok. James Best's song is funny and "In the Drivers Seat" makes me feel like a Duke.

    The soundtrack of The Dukes of Hazzard was originally issued in 1981, at the height of Hazzard-mania. Not surprisingly, it mirrors the trends in contemporary country music at the time -- namely, it's filled with urban cowboy and outlaw songs. Apart from the title track, most of the songs are wholly unmemorable, even though stars such as Johnny Cash and Doug Kershaw contribute music. Still, it's a fun artifact, especially with cast members like John Schneider, Tom Wopat and Catherine Bach contributing songs.
