Discharging notorious sounds based upon a combination of pure industrial and hardcore, Drop Shadow formed in Cincinnati, OH, in 1997. Ben Petry (bass, vocals), Tim Kindberg (guitar), Mike Gruber (keyboards), and Kris Swain (drums, percussion) assured the band's better mastery and inflammable melodies. Obtaining considerable recognition due to their powerful and energetic live shows, Shadow also rapidly built a major following. Following three years of hard rocking both locally and beyond their state area, the band started working on their debut album. Blue hit the record stores in 2000, with production and mixing credits assumed by the band themselves. Since then, Drop Shadow has become a rising band on Cincinnati's industrial music scene.
