Born Dan Ireton, Bostonian Dredd Foole parlayed his friendships with members of Mission of Burma (later the Volcano Suns) into a series of recordings featuring his primitive, sometimes comically inept vocals. MoB backed Foole on his first single but broke up soon afterwards, so when the time came for Foole to record his debut album, he recruited Peter Prescott's new band, Volcano Suns, which also featured guitarist Jon Williams and bassist Jeff Weigand.
