The Athens, GA. folk-rock trio of Barry Marler (guitar, vocals, songwriting), Trent Allen (bass), and Drew Warsham (drums) christened themselves Dreams So Real and made a strong enough impression on Athens gods R.E.M. that Peter Buck agreed to produce their folky 1986 debut album, Father's House.
