    Numan's band breaks out its own sound

    Despite the misleading cover of the re-release (Even Yahoo fell for it...Numan only appears on one song, "Love Needs No Disguise"), this album is an excellent addition to any Numan collection. The Dramatis Project is Numan's backup band (aka Tubeway... Army) sans Numan at the helm. Their sound is suprisingly faithful and oftentimes (in my opinion) fresher than Numan's usual sound. Originally released in 1981 and entitled "For Future Reference," this album closely reflects the Numan/Tubeway Army sound of the time, but was done so well that it could almost pass as a new release today with a retro feel. The tracks "Oh! 2525" and "I Only Find Rewind" are prime tracks, which are almost indistinguishable from the style of Numan's more rock-based songs of the time. Don't pass this one up, because it probably won't be circulating for long. Read more Less
