    wow, is that really how L.A. looked and was?

    Pros: excellent docu-drama presentation

    Cons: acting is not very spontaneous; too robotic almost

    I enjoyed watching some of the episodes but I haven't seen the entire contents. I mostly enjoy Dragnet for the historic value. It's very interesting to see an L.A. that seems almost unreal, where people seemed to dress up for just about eve...ry occassion. I'm very happy but I also hope to purchase more of the Dragnet episodes from the same era as well as the second series that started in the late 1960s. The second series is the one that I grew up watching, not this first one. But I like both and hope that some company will finally release the second series. Read more Less

    It's a classic

    Pros: a good selection of stories

    Cons: poor sound in some episodes

    This is Yahoo. Some people come here to read about movies. That's where I come in. I'm a reviewer. Dum da dum dum.This is the original television series that will give you a glimpse into America of fifty years ago. There are no computers,... no cell phones, no SWAT teams, and no car chases. But, there is plenty of detective leg work, interviewing witnesses, and of course Jack Webb's preachy questions. Look for a very young Leonard Nimoy and the great Olan Soulé in one of his best supporting roles.I only wish that they had included some of the original commercials.Slán,Tomás Read more Less
