Pros: Kids enjoy it, encourages creativity
Cons: Messy, hard to find replacements
While the kids love it, I dislike using it because it means I'll have to clean all the small, sticky parts, which is beyond the abilities of a 6-yr-old, after we're done playing with it.
The "recipe" cards are also difficult for children to follow and often require parts from other kits, so only about half of the cards which come with any given kit (we have two), can actually be used!
Also, while some of the packets have multiple flavors which are interchangeable, others types of ingredients came with only one packet and no suggestions as to what to use once you've run out of that key ingredient. I really don't want to spend another $15-20 for another kit, when all I need is one packet! ...
