Blending the jangly folk-rock of R.E.M. and 10,000 Maniacs with Paisley Underground psychedelia and moody, dreamlike atmospherics, L.A.'s Downy Mildew originally consisted of guitarists/co-lead vocalists Charlie Baldonado and Jenny Homer, bassist Nancy McCoy, and drummer Mike Marasse.
