Doris Duke

Doris Duke
Hailing from a strong gospel heritage, Doris Duke was a native of Sandersville, GA. During the '60s, she found work as a background vocalist in New York City before cutting her only major hit, "To the Other Woman (I'm the Other Woman)," in 1970 for the Canyon label. It was a Top Ten RB hit that year, and prompted a full album, I'm a Loser. She also recorded a full-length (titled Woman) for Scepter in 1975.
