ok so this movie rox. depp and pacino are outstanding actually i sold my copy on vhs for a bag of pot! lol maybe i need to go get another copy due to the straight coolness of this movie

This movie is a must have for aspiring actors/actress.
Al Pacino played the role so well, he gave us insight into a mobster's mind. He was a muderer, criminal but he was just trying to survive so we ended up feeling sorry for him.
And Johnny, what can I say, he has NEVER ever failed in playing a role. We could tell beneath the cold emotionless facade of Donnie Brasco, there is someone else living there.
The story telling was not good, many loose ends, but Johnny and Al played onto each other so well, it made the movie watchable.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoOne of the best true stories
This might be the only time that al pacino acts like a bum mobster as the story goes this is such a great movie i cant get tired of watching this at home

This movie is based on a true storie.
It was an excellent movie with two great actors. IT was also the best mafia movie next to the Godfather of coarse!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wish that the character played by Johnny Depp would of stayed with the mafia.Instead of goind back with the F.B.I. Who gave him only 500$ when is life is worth much more.Was this review helpful? Yes - Nostylish, violent, moving, pacino. Superb
a classic ganster movie mixing stunning acting and shocking violence with a cool cast and moving sub theme. Pacino vouches for Depp; an undercover cop. depp falls for the gangster scene pulling pacino into certain death. as usual pacino is top and depp delivers a suprisingly fitting, hard nosed character.

With good actors and scenes, Donnie Brasco is a great film all around. Johnny Depp stars as FBI undercover agent Joseph D. Pistone, who infiltrates the violent mafia underworld. Al Pacino stars as Lefty, a memeber of the italian mafia. This movie describes the words honor, betrayal, and frienship. A must see for Mafia fans.

There is only one good movie from jonny Depp and that is this one. On the other hand this is merely because Pacino is really great in this film.
