This Namcodeveloped Donkey Kong game is made to be beat, with a special bongostyle controller that consists of two drum pads and a small microphone. The controller allows gamers to drum along to songs such as Queen's "We Will Rock You," "Rock Lobster" by the B52's, Devo's "Whip It," and other fingertapping licensed tunes, as well as a selection of familiar themes from Nintendo games like Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, and The Legend of Zelda. Following scrolling onscreen prompts, akin to those found in Dance Dance Revolution and other rhythmbased games, players must clap their hands or hit the left, right, or both drum heads as directed, all in time to the music.
