By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 5, 2001

This movie is a gem! The Crandell kids are a trio of five. Sue Ellen, a recently graduated high school senior, Kenny, a to-be senior, Zach, 12, Mellissa, 7-8, and Walter, 4-5. Plus Mom Crandell, who is divorced and has a boyfriend. Mom Crandell is leaving for Australia. Sue Ellen assumes that she's in charge of the Crandell kids for the summer. So, when a degranded Mary Poppins knock on the door and announce that she's the baby-sitter, Sue Ellen gets all quiet and sassy to Mom Crandell. Mom Crandell leaves, and the baby-sitter tells the kids to line up and review the rules, blowing on a whistle. After a night of giving the kids a hard time, the baby-sitter finally keels over when seeing Kenny Crandell's room, which is full of pictures of ... 99% naked girls, and a messy recorder and other mess. So she dies and they discover that the money Mom Crandell gave her was on the dead baby-sitter, which was waiting on a mechanic's doorstep. So, Sue Ellen fudges a resume and gets into GAW, a uniform company for schools accross America. The movie goes on and on, while Mom Crandell calls home and the kids keep lying about the baby-sitter's whereabouts. (Yarn store, mortician boyfriend, etc.) Sue Ellen gets a boyfriend, who does not know where she works, Sue Ellen takes petty cash. One day, Walter orders a TV system after stealing from Sue Ellen's briefcase. He hurts himself trying to fix the cable. Sue Ellen ends up throwing another lie to the GAW staff about son in emergency when the annoying recipionist tells her "emergency with her son." Sue Ellen goes to the hospitial, picks up Kenny and Walter Crandell, and arrives home to a TV system, which the kids fudge up as being from Japan, state of the art. Sue Ellen discovers the Crandell family has spent over $3000! She only got a paycheck for $735. Plus, her boyfriend... wow that is bad because he is the brother of the annoying suspicous GAW recipionist, so Sue Ellen wont tell him where she works. That ends up in a fight, where Sue Ellen slams the door of her massive ratty house. She puts cucumber slices on her eyes, but is still upset. Soon, Sue Ellen is over in her head with a suspicious boyfriend, stolen petty cash, and being spied on by GAW suspicious staff who discovers she fudged her resume and discovers she's 17 and (worst case) that she might have stolen petty cash. At the end, Sue Ellen hosts a party at her house, even after Mom Crandell says "No Parties!" for GAW clothes to stop the uniforms process. At the almost-end of the party, Mom Crandell comes home to the party. Kenny keeps saying, "Mrs. Crandell!" until Sue Ellen looks at him. "Mom's home." He nods disbelieving. Sue Ellen, shocked, looks slowly at Mom Crandell, who waves in response. Soon, Mom Crandell says, "You're in big trouble, young lady." In the front of the whole party! OUCH! Sue Ellen breaks down and confesses her true indenfity to the whole GAW staff [at the party, just after the girlfriends demostrate their clothes] (ouch!), except the part of stealing petty cash to feed food for her 4 siblings. Mom Crandell and Kenny and Sue Ellen and the other kids goes in the kitchen, where Mom Crandell goes on a roll, until Sue Ellen calms her down and reassures her they will discuss it rationally in the morning. (Mom Crandell haven't discovered that the baby-sitter was dead.) Sue Ellen tells her boss sorry and makes up with her boyfriend, and they are at the point of making out, when Mom Crandell comes out and says, "Where's the baby-sitter?". At the end, the men who found the baby-sitter at their step says, "I had a good time spending her money." (Something like that.)

    The End of the Movie.

    NOTES: Sue Ellen is 17.
NOTES 2: Don't read this if you want to be surpriesed by the plot.

    Have fun watching it!
