Thug Life Brings 2Pac Another INSTANT CLASSIC

    By Gabriel  Oct 16, 2005

Pros: Every track especially the lyrics

    Cons: Nothing

I can't stress it enough. 2pac is the best lyrical writer ever. This man has changed the face of hip-hop with his intellectual thug image. The way he writes and flows and the quanitity of his tracks. With all his quantity comes quality. Tupac wil...l enver be replaced. This album is a classic, and it is his freakiest one. This album has so many predictions of his own death. Released under the name of Makeveli ( this was a philosopher who beleived in faking ones death in order to come back and get revenge on your enemies ), the image in the front with the cross him imatating Jesus Christ. Interesting album and is definitley up for debate with certain aspects of it. 2pac brings another strong album where every single song can be listened to. You can put this cd in your stereo and not worry about switching tracks. R.I.P. 2pac there will never be another Tupac Shakur. Read more Less

Pro Reviews: Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory

  • All Music Guide

Released only eight weeks after Tupac Shakur died from gunshot wounds, Death Row released this posthumous album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory, under the name of Makaveli, a pseudonym derived from the Italian politician Niccolo Machiavelli, who faked his own death and reappeared seven days later to take revenge on his enemies. Naturally, the appearance of Don Killuminati so shortly after Tupac's death led many conspiracy theorists to surmise the rapper was still alive, but it was all part of a calculated marketing strategy by Death Row. All Eyez on Me proved that Tupac was continuing to grow as a musician and a human being, but Don Killuminati doesn't improve upon that image; instead it concentrates on Gfunk beats and East Coast/West Coast rivalries. If Tupac had survived to complete Don Killuminati, it is likely that the record would have been even better.

Biography

2Pac

2Pac became the unlikely martyr of gangsta rap, and a tragic symbol of the toll its lifestyle exacted on urban black America. At the outset of his career, it didn't appear that he would emerge as one of the definitive rappers of the '90s -- he started out as a second-string rapper and dancer for Digital Underground, joining only after they had already landed their bigge... Read more
