    10th Anniversary of Doctor Who

    By Mac  May 20, 2007

Pros: Reunion of the 1st 3 Doctors.

Cons: Once of A lifetime Meeting of the Original Doctors.

This was a celebration of Doctor Who's 10 years on television back in 1973. To celebrate the occassion, the series reunited William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton with then series regular Jon Pertwee. The Time Lords having a rule against any Tim...e Lord and their previous incarnations sharing the same space time continum at the same time. They are forced to break one of their rules due to a universal threat to them and the galaxy as a whole. Not too give away the whole story, its great to see the interaction of the doctors and how both similar and different they are from each other. Sadly, William Hartnell passed away shortly after this storyarc aired. It also was the prelude to the 5 Doctors 10 years later that reunited Troughton, Pertwee, and Tom Baker who ended a 7 year run back in 1981 joined his replacement Peter Davidson at that time in 1983. The flaws are the special effects that was the product of that day. It still works. This is for fans of Doctor Who and new fans who joined due to the new series. I highly recommend it. Time is Relative

    By theinfinitydoctor  Jun 24, 2001

To celebrate Doctor Who's tenth anniversary, the first three incarnations of the Doctor are brought together in a way that is logical, entertaining, and of great influence to future anniversary and Timelord-based stories. The three doctors have plen...ty of personality clashes, especially between the Troughton and Pertwee doctors, which are highly amusing, but unfortunately, the first doctor, William Hartnell, is given little to do due to his ill-health and is present as more of a mediator. The script is indeed more ambitious than it's production values will allow, subsequently resulting in some poorly realised scenes involving Omega's palace. Though, the plot's imagination and fine acting by the doctors and Stephen Thorne as the bitter Time Lord, Omega, more than make up for this. Read more Less
