    Distinto is old school at it's best

    Pros: Arrangements, tunes like tumba palo cucu ye, great old school tunes being performed by some of the best that Cuba has to offer.

    Cons: Not a catchy salsa mix

    These guys really swing. In my opinion, the earlier album Afro-Cuban Alstars is a stronger product as a whole, but this one has beautiful tunes and all are arranged with style and deep sound. There is nothing "tinny" or pre-fab in the sound..., in contrast to some of the Puerto Rican artists, who seem to make their music with a sound machine. Vocals are great with all legendary people. This is Buena Vista Social Club before they became Buena Vista. So it's buena suerte for us! Enjoy. Read more Less
