    this was the first band that brought me out of country music... and they are the best. And their lyrics all stand for something.

    The lyrics in this album are awesome. The melodies are great and the range of songs and their variety are superb. Another great Live album, they never fail to dissapoint.

    Neat album full of inspirational tunes!

    Run to the water is the best one hear, but some nice ballads (a la DANCE WITH YOU). A BAND WHO AFTER 18 YEARS DOESNT FAIL TO DISAPPOINT!!!!

    Like a quite a few, I had my critism for this being quite softer and lighter, however now I have a rather larghe range of cd's i can appreciate this album the way I always wanted.One good melody after the other.However my concern for the experimental... mood of the band for the future proved to be right.V is the worst album.In contrast the fun songs and ballads on this album are so much better and proper compared to V.I beg to differ this album is more like TC like many, it's just many found SS to much and softies like Tc even though, it is a hard rockin album, lc, pod, std, aoy made it likable.I dink that ss is closer to tc, cos it is more serious is tone, and live were always going to revamo themselves. Both tc and ss are really well textured albums. Read more Less

    There is only one way to describe this album: not as good as "Throwing Copper" but a close second. There are some excellent songs on here with outstanding lyrics, but the standard I go by is the epitome of Live, "Throwing Copper." Even though it isn'...t as good, it's definitely one of the best album's I have ever heard and not at all a waste of time.A few of my favorite songs are: When Dolphins Cry, Voodoo Lady, The Distance, and The Children's Song.     I rated this album a 5, but I think it's a little closer to a 4.5 or so... This album has some great songs, but I don't think it catered to quite a variety of people. It's a close second to "Throwing Copper"

    The Distance to Here is yet another successful c.d. by Live. The songs have catchy beats, unique lyrics, and informative messages. Just like all the other Live c.d.'s, there is also more than one hit on the c.d. Many bands put out an entire c.d. a...nd only one song makes it big. The Distance to Here is full of successful songs that deserve radio airtime. While Live continues to put out c.d.'s like this one, they will always be on top. Read more Less

    Thi is indeed the best album of live, but Secret Samadhi is also very good. Live is one of the greaest rock-bands of all time, i hope the next cd will com soon. the sound i very peacefull, very trancy. The musicians of Live are great. Live live is ev...en better. that shows they can play some muic. the text is so deep, you can't understand instantly, very good. Read more Less
