The alternative/industrial-pop band Dissonance formed in 1993, initially as a solo project for vocalist Cat Hall. One year later, she began collaborating with programmer David Sebrind and drummer Jim King, and Dissonance became a group. A part of the Control-Alt-Delete family of bands, the trio appeared on several compilations and then released two albums in 1997, Dissonance for Sonodisc and Deja Donne for TwinTone.
