Merging influences going from rap-metal to funk rock, Dispatch's unique sound blending of rock, reggae, and hard guitar rock sublime the unparalleled composition features of the Boston three-piece crew. Composed of Brad Corrigan (vocals, drums), Pete Heimbold (bass, guitar), and Chad Urmston (vocals, bass), Dispatch liberated their debut album only one year after forming. Silent Steeples arrived in 1996 through the Bomber Records label, and the following year the northeastern squad delivered their second full-length, Bang Bang. By then they had settled for Dispatch as their designation, giving up their prior one, One Fell Swoop, to a Saint Louis act. Celebrated for their thrilling live performances throughout the U.S., the Boston trio started gaining a large fan base. Two years was the time needed for the group to release their third album, Four-Day Trials, in 1999. In the following year, the band re-entered the studio to record what would be their fourth disc. Who Are We Living For hit record stores in October 2000, with the production commands of Jack Gauthier and Rick Parashar; the latter had previously worked with Pearl Jam and Blind Melon.
