Pros: not so heavy - big deal... others are lighter & better

Cons: noisy, no fit under bed/elsewhere, dirt cup difficult etc. etc.

The reason I'm taking the time & effort for this review is due to my utter frustration with many parties. First of all, frustration with Epinions reviewers, as well as others, who gave the M084100 ratings it did NOT deserve, motivating me to purc...hase a product designed with NON-COMPASSIONATE DESIGN. Secondly, here's the tale of what both NewEgg & Royal put me through: When I read the product info at newegg.com, it stated: "Warrantied by product manufacturer only". So I assumed it's returnable to Royal (manufacturers of the DirtDevil vac). Turns out that I got the Royal RunAround instead! Because Royal's HQ informed me that I need to return it to the one I purchased it from (newegg). Isn't that sweet? Now I'm stuck with an INFERIOR stick vac which cost $45 with shipping. Until now, I had a stick vac which had cost only $20 at a local outlet store, which was even lighterweight, which swiveled (unlike the DirtDevil), which fit FIRMLY into narrower spots and under beds, (unlike DD which is too plump to fit under beds, & which floor-piece lolls loosely like a drunken guy with a "hyperflexible neck"). Furthermore, the dirt cup's filter is SO difficult to budge, that one is afraid of breakage in the attempt at removal. But they stupidly designed it so that one is forced to fool around with the filter in order to be able to empty the blasted cup! By comparison, my old vac didn't have a filter but I got along just fine - I don't have asthma so I don't need one for crying out loud! Not to dwell of course on the obvious noise factor, since that topic was covered by previous reviewers whom I frankly consider either scatterbrained, or else totally ignorant as to what constitutes practical-quality and what's Unweildy Junk with a capital "J".
