Dig Dug: Digging Strike Nintendo DS

Hose pump in hand, the brave little star of Namco's coinop classic burrows his way out of the arcades and into this dualscreen game that challenges his skills above ground as well as below. On the upper screen, players guide Dig Dug across pseudo3D islands viewed from a distant, isometric perspective. When he heads below ground, to the lower screen, the action is much more similar to the 2D maze game that gave him his start. By creating tunnels below, through fault lines and other loose foundations, the hero can cause caveins and collapses that trap and defeat enemy monsters too tough for a facetoface fight in the open. ~ T.J.
