This ALbum Is one Of The Best CDs I ever Listened To. She Is The Masta Woman. All The songs are The Bomb. There is not one that had me sleeping. She Really ~Rocked~ It This Time. She deserves Every Single Award She got on her belt. She is a True Female RnB Legend. No DOubt about it. We Go From Fantastic Karma All the way down To Slow SLick Beat Diary. To My 2 Ultimate faves If I Ain't Got U And You DOn't Now My Name And Don't Think That The ones on the radio are the only good was. Cause Everything is good. This album is soooo good she can make songs that can really touch your heart. I believe she can out do Ashanti and Beyonce. But people prefer Beyonce cuz she goes around shaking her ass while Alicia wants 2 do it classy. Dont worry Alicia ur still the greatest singer of all time

Alicia Keys is my favorite ever since Aaliyah passed away. Alicia Keys is the greatest artist to me right now . She is so powerful with her lyrics and so powerful with her songs. I get into it for real when i'm listening to my girl in the car sing her heart out. All I got to say is that I know for a fact its just going to get better. Big ups to my girl Alicia Keys.

Mizz Keys, I must say she gives true meaning to the word originality! I mean, girlfriend has got it going on! Who can say that they can write their own compositions (not to mention produce their own compostitions), can tickle the ivories with ease of a surgeon and have a killer voice that can ease the mind of a hardcore thug or even a sadistical killer! No one can say this other than my girl, Mizzzzzzz Alicia Keys! This album is SMOKIN'!!! I must say every single track on this album is hot!! Mizz Knowles, I hope you are taking notes because you could sure learn a lot from this talented (yes, I'm going to say it) DIVA!! Sorry, Mizz Knowles, you are NOT the true diva! Mizz Knowles, you might have the chops however you lack emotional substance! I can't even choose which song is my favorite, however if I had to choose it would definitely be (hands down) the laid back, doo wop feel track "You Don't Know My Name". From the production work down to the vocals, everything was tighter than a virgin's

Mizz Keys has done it again. She has shown time and time again that her vocal chops do not define her as a singer-nor the lack of-but it shows that she can sing her ass off, but she can tickle them ivories as if it were your soul. The choice of songs she has chosen are the bomb. She has more pizazz than Mizz Knowles. She may not have the vocal chops of the fiery princess, but she sustains her own modicum of class with each and every song. No flash but plenty of good ole NYC class. Every song rocks. Retrieve this treasure trove. If ya feen for some good ole soul, this is it!

Alicia Keys is awsome. You Don't Know My Name did something to me I can't quite explain. I knew what she meant, especially the interlude. She got up enough courage and talked to him. Everytime I hear it I get chills.

I didn't give her all fives because I can see that see's still growing as an artist and the illusion of perfection tends to stunt an artist's growth. This CD put me on another level the first time I heard it. Her knowledge of music and ability to write make Alicia Keys a very powerful force in music. If you lisen closely, you can actually feel the soul in her voice. I liked Songs in A Minor, but I love The Diary of Alicia Keys. I hope she takes her time on the next one like she did with this one. I can't wait to hear her next thoughts.

THIS CD WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!! WHEN I LISTEN TO THIS CD I COULD TELL THAT A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT WAS PUT INTO IT. (NOT TRYING TO SAY THAT THE 1ST ONE DIDN'T). THIS CD HAS MORE OF A OLD SCHOOL JAZZY FEELING TO IT. SHE DEFINITELY GETS MY PROPS ON THIS ONE!!! U GO MS. KEYS!!!!

The Diary Of Alicia Keys A+: My Review
The Material on 'he Diary Of Alicia Keys' is alot stronger than it's predicesor, she has truely found a perfect place melodically with
the merger of Hip Hop, R&B and Jazz (with a minor hint of classical influence) Lyricaly he phrases of the choruses and verses are flawless.
The sequence of the tracks from 'If I was Your Woman' to the end create a majestically mellow vibe which enhances and sustains the impact of the tracks like a piano pedal to a song.
Her additional sexy low spoken vocals as always lift the songs.
The only imperfection this album posseses are it's vocals through most of the album vocally she remained in two regions. It seems she opted not to Exercise the diverse vocal range she used in 'Songs In A Minor' however from a performance perspective the material of this album could be very powerful on stage.
Her use of the subject matter love conveys alot of the different emotions people in love feel.
I especialy love her interlude on 'You Don't Know My Name' it's magnificent.
A minor disappointment I had thought she would speak more about the problems facing people, like the ones she often speaks about on this websites journal, I wonder why 'Streets Of Newyork' didn't make it on the album I felt it would havefollow up to the album'sintro 'Harlem's Nocturne'.
One of Alicia's greatest attributes is her ability to be innovative whilst being consistant, this is a balance alot of today's artists have difficulty with.
With this album she has not only conqered the sophmore jinx but she has set a new standard for new artists.
She is on the right path to the road of perpetual life, should she finish it she will earn her place amongst the greats.
I take my hat down and salute this album.

My God people. This album is the bomb. I really enjoy Alicia's singing style as well as her lyrics. Once I put in the cd, I was bobbin my head and I couldn't wait to hear the songs that came after. My favorite song is Heartburn. It's very upbeat and I was really feeling it. I would definitely recommend this cd to everyone.

I don't now and never have like Alicia Keys. Although she is talented TO AN EXTENT, she is not showing full potential. If you consider sampling music from the 70's to make a song yours... that is not original that is called borrowing,which makes her another Mary J. Blige (which I also cannot stand)a sampling queen. The only thing she is doing with the music is taking everybody elses, tweaking it, then trying to make it her own. True musicians, will see that and not take the album at face value. If a person wanted to hear a song then they could very well by the original song and listen to it, but what she is doing,that is not original. Her style of singing has come through generation after generation. She couldn't even find her own style of singing. She sounds like a "wannabe everybody but myself". Her first album was a Prince creation and this one is Misc. I will say that if any song caught me, it was the Diary, ONLY because of the music and the melody, the lyrics were lame. I think it is time for her to put more effort into making her OWN music shine, and stop trying to live in the light of a GREAT and TRUE artist which she is not. As a musician myself, I know how long it takes to perfect a song, but it is even harder trying to tweak a ready made song, so that it doesn't sound like the original.

This girl is one of the most talented female artists to every hit the scene. People thought she couldn't do it two times in a row, well she showed everybody. I have never heard an album, except for her first one, that made me feel every song and every word. She is a godsend in a world where music is dying. Peace and blessing Alicia Keys, and keep doing your thing. Don't compromise yourself like every other female artist. She doesn't have to get naked to sell records, her talent is more than enough.
