A good buy
Pros: Easy to play, lots of customization.
Cons: Can be laggy on the multi-player, not too bad.
With now 7 playable characters, jewels, runes, the gems, updated powers and power effects I would say the expantion to DII is well worth the cost of the game. With 7 customizable characters you never have to have two who are the same, ever! Create a character to help in groups or be the group leader or just focus on the single player aspect. A good way to kill some time and some demons.

Pros: Great value! I played that game for god knows how long.
Cons: Alot of server crashes and repairs during day and not night.
All in all, this is a fantastic game.

Pros: Easy to use, addictive, fun, great graphicsm online play is awesome!!
Cons: Cannot mix character types (ie: Barbarian/Necromancer hybrid)
This is a fantastic game with very few limits. You can choose different paths for your character to take and develop him/her as you see fit, within the character's strict type. That is the one drawback that I see in this game, as opposed to say, Neverwinter Nights, where you can choose multiple character development pathways. That is, to say, that if you start out a Necromancer, you will end up a Necromancer. You cannot crosstrain in Amazon skills, for instance) The storyline is engaging, and the difficulty levels keep you honing your playing skills.
There are many different character types to choose from, with multiple skill development pathways to explore such that this game can keep you busy for an extremely long time. I have had this game for at least 3 years, and I STILL have not explored all of the possibilities.
All in all, this is the best RPG I have found. In the online mode, you can compete in ladder competition and there are more items and more versatility to be found than in any other game I have tried.
If you really want to test your limits as a gamer, without any hacks or cheats, then this is THE GAME for you.
LOADS OF FUN - plus, as an added bonus, you get to kick evil's butt !! ( and who hasn't wished secretly that they could beat the crude out of some evil in their lives ??).

Cons: Gets boring if playing single player...
I love that this game can be played online. Its great to play in groups of people you know or to play with others that you don't. Can get a little boring if you play alone.
