Formed in Wermland, Sweden, in 2005, Detektivbyran is a whimsical trio whose compositions nod to the tender glockenspiel and accordionbased compositions of Yann Tiersen, the sprightly glitch pop of I Am Robot and Proud, and the clickblippity mania of oldschool eightbit video games. Comprised of multiinstrumentalists Jon Nils Emanuel Ekström, Anders Flanders, and Martin Molin, the group released their first EP, Hemvagen, in the summer of 2006.
