    Awesome!!

    By guitarman78660  Mar 2, 2001

I first heard the title track of this album one evening coming home from a day in the park at my home town of Victoria Texas. It was playing on the radio.Nothing unusual about that right?Well the station that was playing it was a ROCK station,KISS-FM ...out of San Antonio, and the D.J.who was playing it was someone known around the world as "The Godfather of Rock and Roll"or the late Joe Anthony.I can still remember how the station kept fading, but determined not to miss ANY of this awesome music I pulled over on a side road and found spot to park where the station came in clear and finished enjoying the musical treat. But then much to my dissappointment,I didnt hear any mention of who this was playing the awesome music. So I rushed home, got on the phone with Joe and he told me who it was. That was the first time I heard the name of David Lanz and Paul Speer, but would not be the last.May these two never give up on making this kind of music as it cleanses you right down to your very soul. Thanks!Russell Read more Less

One of the most popular artists in the solo instrumental and adult-alternative spheres, Lanz played in several rock bands during his teens, then began developing his style as a solo pianist in a small Seattle nightclub. He introduced some of his originals into the bar's required mix of standards and pop tunes, receiving such a positive response from patrons that, before... Read more
