Great game! Crappy Graphics

Desert Strike for GBA is a remake of an old console game for Sega and other platforms. The original game had really crappy graphics by today's standards and Electronic Arts (EA) unfortunately chose not to update the graphics especially for the GBA.C...olors are limited to a small pallet since the original was limited by its console colors. EA didn't bother to redo any of the images.This version of Desert Strike is no more than a straight port of an old classic to a new platform. Kind of like squeezing a raisin for grape juice more $$$ from something that's already close to 10 years old.The game play is good and challenging if you can overlook the crappy graphics and the doinky sounds.EA could have spent a little more time redoing the graphics and sound. But if you are a true game purist, then this is the original on GBA. Colorization by Ted Turner would have been a good product development choice. Bummer. Could have been a 4 or 5 star game. This is a 3 star and not a MUST HAVE. Read more Less
