Pros: Fairly easy setup, Denon build quality, Sound that is unrivaled

Cons: Heavy!!!, Unit depth prevents placing in some entertainment centers

After 5 years of being a Sony die hard I finally took home a Denon. The big question now is what to do with all of these Sony A/V receivers as each gets replaced. One could feel a major difference just lifting the unit. The attention to detail outsi...de is beyond belief, which only begins to describe the quality construction inside. Sound quality is first rate from all sources, and the analog direct mode allows for very accurate reproduction. Crisp and defined highs and lows, with no "mush" of center frequencies noted. (Bose surround speakers used) The bright display is easy to read in a darkened room and allows for dimming, even to a point to which it looks off. The remote is easy to use, worked well with all other components and is also easy to use in the dark. Fingerprints do, however, accumulate, so be prepared to clean your remote. The only complaint is with the unit's looks. It will make even the best home furnishings look like closeout specials. That and no sleep timer :-/ 5 Star -- Worth the money! Read more Less
