Denon AVR-2805 Receiver
Pros: Easy speaker setup--Microphone Included
Cons: None for the PRICE!!
Four years ago, I spent $1500.00 on a Sony ES 90. It recently just went out and when I had to replace or repair it, they didnt even make the main board anymore.
So I started doing some research and shopping and came up with the Denon AVR-2805 Receiver. I spent $665.00 on this unit, under half of my old Sony top of the line receiver. To my amasement, this Denon absolutley blew away the Sony. HANDS DOWN.
This receiver is user-friendly and the speaker setup is truly worth the money alone. Included is a Microphone that placed where you sit, goes through a 9 step process that analyses your speakers and placement and sets your ranges for you.

At a list of $899, and getting one for $629, this receiver is the best value I have ever found. My dvd's sounded crisp, with great location of all sound effects spread through out the field. Dynamics are fanastic. My 2 channel CDs had a transparent quality, and my SACD Bach Tocca and Fugue sound much like the church organs should. A great choice for anyone looking for an affordable 7.1. Only flaw would be it not being THX rated, but that didn't stop me.
