The second single from Deserter's Songs is a disappointment; "Delta Sun Bottleneck Stomp" remains perhaps the weakest song on an otherwise sterling album and the Chemical Brothers' negligible, self-indulgent remix doesn't make it any more palatable. A cover of Neil Young's "Vampire Blues" and live versions of the Rev original "Holes" and John Lennon's "Isolation" (both recorded for KRCW's excellent "Morning Becomes Eclectic" series) round out the package. Only "Holes" isn't already available on the previous Goddess on a Hiway +5 V2 label promo, rendering the value of this EP pretty much moot for all but the most devout completists.
