*Subscription to XM radio required. Note: Satellite reception depends on the ability of the antenna to receive a signal. The signal may not be available in buildings or if obstructed (e.g. by mountains, trees, bridges, etc.)

    Pros: Portability! Can record music & play when no/low signal

    Cons: Stand alone device does not pull strong signal as w/home or auto kit

    Loaded with accesories to plug and play---Home kit, auto kit, headphones, cases, belt clip and on and on! I had the dream of being able to pull a signal in the gym and listen to live XM radio most anywhere, but the device has not done this for me. ...The signals in most of the buildings that I have entered over my first week with this new toy has been pittifully weak. Even in my office where I sit in a corner with a South facing window, signal is too weak pulling with the unit alone. It does come with a small penlight sized attenna that attaches to your clothing, but I do not notice any increase in signal when attached. Despite my hopes and dreams of a portable XM signal being deflated, I am overall still happy with the unit. In home and auto signals using the home and auto cradles and attennas included have been strong. The ability to record music for use away from home and auto has been the saving grace for my needs at the gym and why I still feel happy with the purchase. XM---NEED MORE WORK ON INCREASING THE ONBOARD SIGNAL STRENGHTH, OTHERWISE GREAT PRODUCT! Read more Less

    Pros: commercial free/ Great Sound

    Cons: NONE

    I have been waiting for a portable XM or Sirius radio for years. This is state of the art. I dont have recorded music, and get tired of CDs quickly. Now I enjoy music muchmore than on my old Sony Walkman. I tried the car kit and it sounded great.Wire...s everywhere. Trying it out with my bose wave worked fine. Ijust want to know where I can buy an additional battery? Read more Less
