    I recently purchased a Dell 1150 laptop from Dells online store. The online shopping was very easy and convienient and at the end of my shopping I was asked if I would like to apply for a Dell Credit card to purchase my computer. I applied and was ap...proved in a couple of minutes and my computer was on the way. I recieved my order early and am extremly happy with the laptop I purchased. The laptop was exactly as I ordered and i recieved it early. I have contacted customer support on two occasians and have been treated extremly well on both. I would recommend Dell for all your computing needs and will continue to be a faithfull customer of Dell Read more Less

    Pros: Great product!!

    Cons: Horrible customer service and tech support

    I own a couple of products from Dell. I have a desktop that has been nothing but a blessing. The quality is great! I purchased it two years ago and the sales, customer service & support departments were great! However, I am not sure what has happene...d to Dell since then? I recently purchased a pocket pc (Axim 30) as my husband's graduation gift and we've had nothing but problems from the start. When placing the order the girl coudln't get the prices to match the ones on the internet (which were cheaper & offering free shipping if you spent more than $250). The Axim was $352 but when checking out I was still being charged the shipping fee ($29.00) so I called to get that corrected. I was on the phone with the lady placing my order for and hour and 45min. She said if we got disconnected she would call me back and being that she placed me on hold for endless hours I ended up hanging up, never got a call back. Call again the next day thinking everything was worked out since I had given her my credit card number and even got an order confirmation number, but to my surprise the order was never finished and therefore not placed. SO... I had to start from scratch. The 2nd rep I spoke with was more helpful, this one seemed to know what she was doing. Once we received the Axim which took 2-3wks (it was in back ordered due to the demand) we had some technical problems with it and I tried contacting their tech support for 3 consecutive weeks every day without success. Now the English-speaking issue: Dell needs to hire English-speaking employees. When you call good luck trying to communicate with Dell's customer service or tech support reps NONE I mean NONE speak English which can be very frustrating. The only time you get an English-speaking person is when you call the sales dept, now they are always nice and polite, of course, they want to sell. I also tried their website support chat dept and every single time I tried (night and day) this is the message I got "Thank you for your interest in chat. All chat agents are assisting other customers and have become temporarily unavailable. Please close this window and refresh your screen to see if chat becomes available again."Dell has great quality products but their customer & tech support departments are obviously not equiped to handle the demands that the business has. I too paid for tech support and I am yet to receive that service. We recently called to return the item because we are so frustrated with their service that we no longer care how good the product quality is, the hassle is simply not worth it. I've been in the retail business for many years and the key to a business sucess, no matter how good their products are, is SERVICE. This will be the demise of Dell. Read more Less

    Cons: Dell Rebate System

    The Dell rebate system is terrible, and designed to be difficult so that Dell does not end up paying the rebates at times. They require a short response time to get rebate materials to them. Bottom line is: Do not buy one of their computers if you... have to do a mail-in rebate. Read more Less

    Pros: very durable, easy to use, great customer support

    Cons: A little heavy, bottom of laptop gets hot after it has been on for a long period of time

    Cons: long phone wait 2 month delay with free printer

    i was placed on hold for 20 minutes the sales person promised they would e mail my order confirmation it never happened i had to call back.they were supposed to ship my free printer with order i had to call back to tell them they forgot to ship the p...rinter. now i found out the printer wont be shipped until feb this was suppose to be a christmas gift Read more Less

    iam college student from Sweden.i was wondering around which pc to buy, wether desktop or laptop, but i didnt like desktops cause they are so heavy and my room was small. but i was doubt about laptops cause of their small monitors,huge price and most... of them are very black clours, so i was searching somthing very unique,and absolutly i didnt made mistake to buy it.today i can watch cinemas, play games and hight speed of internet,and incredible very durable.east or west dell is the best.     I was inperess this lap top I got was a college grad gift i use lap top at school and thay suck it was MPIC and compax and hp and omly tec ( MPIC took over omic tec) and i ben useing one of them for 3 years and i wasnt that impress but when i got my ...dell i was blow away by the system it self and i have a HP 752 pc at home and i had nothing but probem but so far my lap top blow away endy pc i look at it do waght a lot but hear how i look at it if you going to be useing it as mush as i had it worth it the drow back is the heat i would buy a nother dell agan Read more Less

    Pros: Everything. The price, the practicality, the portability, the performance...everything

    Cons: Con? It doesn't weigh two pounds...but it does shave off 2 lbs of dough.

    The only possible quarrel you could have with this piece of machinery is in its above-average weight of 8lbs. That's fairly heafty weight to be carrying all around town. But in that weight is power, and power my friend is what this computer del...ivers. Comparable to that of desktops, the Inspiron 1150's speed capabilities are braggable; I nearly cried after playing GTA 3...but in there lies the problemo, children. The 1150 deal usually lacks a good gaming card, which would be difficult to add on after purchase. In fact impossible to add on. If you're looking for a gaming laptop, THIS AIN'T IT!     Cons: Tech Svcs took 3 hrs to assist a tech on wireless setup

    Dell Customer Care could not provide contractor services in a timely manner to install wireless router and when the tech was provided, it took 3 hrs of phone transfers back & forth for a tech to get the guidance needed. Dell's contractor admitted... that language communications with Dell Tech Svcs was not easy for the average tech. Read more Less

    Alright laptop suggest not buying

    Pros: its a really fast and the value of it is a good deal

    Cons: only 30 gb memory...you need more than 30gb

    i think that this laptop was alright i mean it was fast and efficiant but the memory was so little it was only 30gb. I like to play games and 30gb is not enough to download all the games that i want and then also have all my songs on there from itune...s+all the other things i download overall i would suggest not buying this laptop.
