    It's amazing how little fame and recoginition is associated with this band. Consisting of only 2 musicians, they have produced an album with consistant high quality from start to finish, with no junk songs thrown in to take up space as is a very com...mon accurance in the music industry. Thirteen tracks, all unique, ranging in sound from Bond-esque to 30's nightclub to current California hiphop, all the while keeping the underlying sound synonomous of the album's title, DECKSANDRUMSANDROCKANDROL
    L. It's hard to find an album with such consistanency in it's high quality without going to a "Best of..." or "Greatest Hits..." album. I'd have to reccomend this cd to anyone that enjoys music, as I am a big rock fan but still greatly enjoyed this change of pace as did my sister who listens primarily to rap and R&B. I think she summed it up the best when she said,"..there's always something different on it, songs you never remember hearing the last time."     Read more Less

    Propllerheads is best electronic music out there. I listen to it almost every day; my only complaint is that they didn't make more albums.

    From start to finish, a great CD

    For the most part, I like music that makes me think, but sometimes I like to be able to pop in a cd and just enjoy. This is one of those cds. From start to finish, this is the best CD that I own. With great tracks like "Take California", "History Re...peating", "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" and "Spybreak!", it's no surprise that I enjoy this cd. Read more Less

    The entire album is absolutely fantastic! Following absolutely no predefined pattern, no prechewed material, nothing I have personnaly heard before.
    I love the breaking beat, fast/slow/fast/faster sequences.

    WOW. What an original album. All the songs are decent and some are classics like the bond theme. Theres a brilliant mix of jazz, techno and hip hop. Just can't wait for a another album from the two.

    It is exactly what the title suggests it is; DECKSANDRUMSANDROCKANDROL
    L. An album filled with invention and trips into other favorite genres. It's fascinating to hear the kind of music two blokes can come out-with now-a-daysFor a group that have liv...ed in and enjoyed complete obscurity since they began, you'd expect thier debut would be filled with low grade, 'listen-to-it-once-then-n
    ever-again' tracks, but the opposite is quite apparent in the case of the Propellerheads. They have created an album that opened everybodies eyes to a world of funky, no-hassle, easily accessable tunes.They take us on trips through funky hip-hop based songs that aren't hip-hop, but something close to that description. The memorable "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", is a classic example of what they do, trust me, if you listen to that song at full blast on your head-phones you'll think you can do anything, those horns just have a strange effect on people. The musical range is amazing, you have your relaxing songs, ("Winning Style", "Oh Yeah") the funky head-nodding songs, ("Take California", "Cominagetcha") and your crazy 'get-and-cause-some-chaos
    ' tunes ("Bang On!", "Spybreak!").All in all, this is a great album that should keep everyone happy for ages, but always remember, if you need reminding of the album is like just look at the title...     Read more Less
