Synopsis: Death Race 2000 (1975)
Synopis: More delightfully sick humor from Bartel (EATING RAOUL). In a boorish future, the government sponsors a popular, but bloody, cross-country race in which points are scored by mowing down pedestrians--with bonus points for the elderly! Five teams, each comprised of a male and female, compete using cars equipped with deadly weapons. Frankenstein, the mysterious returning champion, has become America's hero, but this time he has a passenger from the underground resistance. A legendary cult film.Features: Death Race 2000 (1975)

b movies rule
, April 30, 2001Reviewer: kittykatatmacdotcom - See all kittykatatmacdotcom's reviewswell all you have to say about it is it's a futuristic sci-fi b movie, with david carradine and sly stallone. i think that will answer all your questions, but if you still have them, what else can I say? I saw this at a midnight screening (4-28-01) and I had a lot of fun. If you like crummy movies like the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and anything on the Sci-Fi channel, you'll probably like this. The best part, is it really does have something to say about society. Violence in the media, the continual strivance toward providing entertainment to the lowest common denominator, nationalism; this movie will give you something to think about. If you can overlook the horribly 70s costumes (Carradine is in the cheesiest bondage-suit of all cinema, Sly is in broad stripes, yellow tie, pink, brown...icky), interior sets, exteriors of horribly 70s buildings, and really obvious colour-pencil futuristic backdrops, then hey, this is the movie for you. Bad B Movies are infinately more watchable than bad studio movies. ...
