Cons: slow at the begining, be patient
WOW, I liked the original darkness and i was really into buying the unsensored version, but i still can't find it to buy. So i rented it wanting to see if there were many changes they made. I liked this one a little better than when i saw it in theaters. The one in theaters was to much cut and paste, this one was easier to follow, the scenes connect better. ...

Pros: Atmsphere, Acting, Direction, Writing.
Cons: Studio.
ORIGINAL VERSION:
No, don't worry, the rating isn't perfect. I'd actually rate it a 4.5. It is an excellent little horror movie. It just sucks you guys had to see a version sliced and diced by a lame-ass studio. This original version that some people saw, including myself, is actually pretty good. The atmopshere is excellent, the acting is perfect, and it's chillingly creepy. The story wasn't all that in some parts, true, but the ending is actually pretty clever.
CUT-VERSION:
Want some honesty? I did see the cut version in theaters, and although pretty disappointing to see a studio totally kill off it's own movie, I thought it was decent. The story just didn't make sense. In all, i'd give it a 3.5.
Still, both versions offer some truely chilling moments. Highly recommended for horror fans. ...
