Give It A Chance
, August 4, 2001Reviewer: Alien - See all Alien's reviewsMy first impression was Ministry was falling, but the more I listen to this CD, the more I like it. True, it's not as hard and abrasive as Rape & Honey or Mind, but it still is a Hell of a lot harder than 99% of the bands today play. Give this a chance and you will soon find it on your CD player all the time. -
very annoying and BAD !
, February 7, 2001Reviewer: drax_931 - See all drax_931's reviewsI dont agree that "True" fans of Ministry will like this. I liked the early ministry 80's dance stuff and I also loved the hard grinding sound they changed to such as cd's like "In case you didnt feel like showing up" BUT.......even if you were to use the "cop-out" that ministry is "artistically expanding" on this CD it still doesnt explain that this CD has nothing intriguing, artistic, or even midly interesting on it !!!! It sounds like two drunk guys playing with a karaoke drum machine and microphone.
It sucks to admit but THIS BAND IS DONE! ...

Pro Reviews: Dark Side of the Spoon
| EXPERT RATING: From AMG Reviews Dark Side of the Spoon is Ministry's attempt to return to its techno and industrial roots (missing from their previous effort, Filth Pig), as well as its penchant for dark humor, on tracks like "Vex and Siolence," "Nursing Home," "Whip and Chain" and "Bad Blood." - Gina Boldman, All Music Guide |
