Synopsis: Daniel Deronda (2003)
Synopis: The title character of this Masterpiece Theater presentation is the illegitimate son of a wealthy British aristocrat. With a secretive past and an unlimited supply of cash, he turns to gambling where he meets Gwendolyn, a beautiful woman in desperate need of money. From their meeting at a roulette table, a romance blossoms. Daniel, however, is already involved in a passionate relationship with a Jewish singer. Cons: No subtitles when other languages besides english were spoken throughout the movie.
I loved the tenderness and passion the actors portrayed in this film.
Pros: acting is superb by hugh dancy
Cons: build up of romance could be a little better
I loved this movie! I saw this before I knew
who Hugh Dancy was. He is a very good actor and not bad to look at. The plot was not bad either. I am a big fan of Pride and Predjudice, and other movies from that era.
This wasn't as good as that one, but it is
worth watching and very entertaining. It kept me interested for the 210 minutes in its entirety. If you like 19 century romance it is one to watch. ...
