Dances With Wolves, in my opinion is one of the best movies ever made and all of the actors gave 150%. There will never be another movie that is so gripping and exciting. Kevin and Mary both gave i think the best performance of their lives and i wish i could thank them for such an excellent movie.

The Director's Cut is a cut above the previously released director's cut of Dances with Wolves. This dvd version answers all those questions we had when we originally saw the theatrical release. The bonus extras are great as well. This is a must have dvd for all western and action enthusiasts.

This was a very good movie but to be honest with you I fell asleep 3 times through it. It's a very good movie but Costner can't act for crap. Obviously the reason he was able to make it so long is because he the power to do it. There were so many things he could've edited out of this film. Like he could've made it so everytime the cameras take these beautiful shots of the scenery, he could make them less than a half an hour long. I'm sure the 2 Disc set is great but I didn't find Costner convincing at all. A true classic though. Rent the DVD.

One of those movies you can see again and again and feel like your there.Mary McDonnell should have recieved an award for her portrayal of Stands With A Fist. A truley excellent job of acting.This is one of the more accurate movies depicting a story of that time in American History.

Dances with wolves is one of the best movies i have ever seen. It is filled with good messages, wounderfull senery, and yes great acting. Even though the movie is three hours long, it dosent seem like it. It takes you in and when the movie is done it leaves you with a good feeling inside, like you havent wasted you time. I say good one Kevin, a job well done, and a movie worth owning.

This is without a doubt one of the very best films ever produced. Cinematography is breathtaking and the John Barry score superb. Most of all, however, is the subject - the magnificent Lakota, shown in their true light, that of a loving, family people. If you can find it in the European version, which is nearly an hour longer than the 3+ version shown in the United States, by all means get it. EXCELLENT in all respects!

I can't say enough good things about this film. I originall saw this when it was theatrically released and was amazed. People in Hollywood said that noone wanted to see a picture that was a western,sympathetic to the native Americans,had subtitles,and had a running length of more that 3 hours.They were very wrong. The story is a beautiful one,displaying the Sioux as "real human beings" not savages,it had wonderful acting from all participants,it contained drama,comedy,adventure and romance for people and nature all in one film. Not to mention the beautiful cinemaphotography,and the wonderful score by John Barry. A true epic. Beautiful.

First time I have ever seen a bad review on this film. Personally I thought it was great. Due to the fact I think most have seen it I would just like to speak about the THX DVD version. WOW!!!!! If you do not own this movie yet get the THX version. It is simply amazing.

That's what I said about this movie. I'm speechless.... from the actors, the music, the picture....everything is so perfectly combinated. This movie, is one of the few movie that have a long runtime, but honestly, I enjoyed every minutes of it. And after all, there's nothing can compare one of the last scene of the movie, when Wind In His Hair yelled to Dunbar at the hill. Finally, I just want to say : Sungmani Tutonka Ob Waci will be one of the best movie I've ever seen.

This is the kind of movie that doesn't crop out often enough. Not only does it show how men can so cruel somtimes but it shows the nostalgic scenes of the wild west. If you love Costner in Wyatt Earp, then you'll enjoy this one, and vice versa.

I thought this was a very good movie. I think that this MUSEUM1 fella is nothing but a Costner basher because he is jealous. MUSEUM1, if you hate him and his movies so bad, why have you reviewed & watched most of them then? You sure keep watching his movies obviously, making him even more money? Keep it up Mr. Museum and you will just keep making him more and more money so he can make more movies and we can enjoy them. Then you can go waste your money watching what you call horrid movies and give your little (I HATE KEVIN COSTER) spiel over and over. If you don't like something, quit buying it you dork.

I gladly sat in the theater twice to watch this masterpiece. Beautiful scenery, and a good portrayal of the Era right before the conquest of the white man. Floyd Westerman (plays the eldest speaking Native American) has also guest starred on the X-Files and is a world renound activist. He visited my college last year---which I thought was really cool since it is all the way in Marquette Michigan.
