Street Jam Reggae Award-winning Daddy Yankee started getting involved in the Puerto Rican "reggaeton" scene at the age of 13. Known for combining reggae and Latin rap, the newcomer teamed up with Playero before becoming a major local number. In 1998 Daddy Yankee recorded "Posición," along with Alberto Style, featured in One Tough Cop's movie soundtrack followed by contributions on the 2000 album The Piece Maker by New York-based DJ/producer Tony Touch. His international debut came in 2002 with the release of the top-selling El Cangri.com, featuring Nicky Jam, Divino, Speedy and Yagga y Mackie.
