    Pros: Graphics

    Cons: Everything else!

When I opened the box to this game, I was very excited. I was looking for a game with GTA3/Vice City fun but with the best graphics. What I got is a game that is slow, cumbersome, and overall not really fun to play. The assignments are kind of like "so what" unlike GTA 3 and Vice City, where you can see the plot forming. Also you cannot just putts around and really play under cover. There is a boring hard linear plot line rather than an open-ended guided plot line that you can choose to follow tightly or loosly, going on side quests, building your character, and making it more like an action/RPG like Rockstar's GTA series, or Bethesda's Morrowind. The problems you have to solve--or should I say levels you need to clear, have to be done "the right way" or "the high way." You can't do it your own way and explore it unitl you find the way to solve it.
I found the driving physics to be a little touchy, and control just a little bit light, i.e. they forgot Newton's law in sustaing momentum. The car seems to stop on a dime rather than slide, taking great skill to drive. The worst is how you control Tanner er...Tucker, whatever you guy's name is! They tried to make it like Max Payne, however you don't have the ability to slow down time, dodge anything, and no smart remarks from your player or the bad guys either. I played several levels, and eventually put the game away for good. I'm going to trade it in for NCAA Football 2005. This game is a real piece of s---! I have picked up my gta3, started from scratch, and it felt like a real game. ATARI should have sent this game back to Reflections to have it redone, because it is embarrassing to the genre, the wonderful graphics and greatly dissappoints the gamers who put down the $50 bucks. This game isn't worth $19!

Driver takes it up a notch

Pros: Graphics are awsome. The best in this game type today.

Cons: The Controls leave you a little annoyed.

DRIV3R offers a different experience from games of the same type. First of all the graphics are top of the line. From the Vehicles right down to the park benches. This game has a lot to offer visually.

The detail is just absolutly well done. However there is still room for improvment. The Vehicle Damage could be a little more realistic. Speaking of realistc, DRIV3R is the most realstic game of it's kind. Your ability to get in trouble is just insane. Run a red light in front of the "PO PO's" and the man will be hot on your butt like you were O.J. in a White Bronco.
Anyway, the games reality equals fun for a long time. The games versital game modes allow many different ways to play. In other words it will take a long time to fully experience this game.
DRIV3R has a lot-o-fun to offer, but even Barry Bonds misses one once and a while. The sound is good for the most part. The original music leaves much to be desired. In other words, you'll find yourself playing it with the music off and your radio on a lot.
Another "Woopsie" in the game is the controls. For the most part the vehicle controls are right on the money. They cars can be a little difficult to move esspecially the bigger vehicles. But the absolute worst part of the controls is when your on foot. Walking is not advised in this game. The controls are similar to the first Grand Theft Auto. Basically, you move like a bad robot dancer. But from all this bad some good does come. You have the ability to swim, something GTA doesn't have. That adds some extra fun.
All in all, even though there are some major control issues, DRIV3R is an extremly worth while investment. However i believe it will only fuel the anticipation for GTA: San Andreas. But still one of the better title out there right now.

    Pros: .

    Cons: .

I would highlly recommend anyone to buy this game, even if they are not into these type of games. I have still not got the chance what I am waiting for to play the game , but atari cannot let us down as the other driver games were fantastic. I heard that it was going to be on xbox live and if anyone could confirm that it is going to be on live i would be very happy. PS very looking forward to driv3r.
