    HORRIBLE SERVICE

    By JosephF  Jan 17, 2009

    Pros: CHEAP

    Cons: SERVICE

SURE THE ROUTER WAS FREE WITH CIRCUIT CITY AND I SHOULD NO REALLY COMPLAIN BUT I WILL ANYWAY. WHEN I GOT THE ROUTER IT WORKED FINE UNTIL I TIRED TO CONFIG THE WIRELESS NETWORK AND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. THE ROUTER SIMPLE DOES NOT WORK. I TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES TO CONTACT D-LINK BUT NEVER WAS ABLE TO TALK TO A PERSON OR GET AN E-MAIL RESPONSE. SURE D-LINK IS PROBABLY SAYING TO THEMSELVES WHY THE HELL DID WE MAKE SUCH A ROUTER AND ACTUALLY SELL IT (OR IN MY CASE GIVE IT AWAY). BUT THE POINT IS THIS THAT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER D-LINK PRODUCT AGAIN!

Don't even think about buying this!!!

    By Mathew  Sep 24, 2008

    Pros: Nothing

    Cons: Everything

This is basically a piece of crap. It does not work!! I used to loose my Internet connection every two hours when this crap was hooked up with my modem. Luckily I didn’t pay a penny for this, it was free from circuit city. No wonder they were giving it away for free, because IT DOESN’T WORK!!!

Junk right out of the box

    By Robert  May 7, 2008

    Pros: unit looks good

    Cons: everything else

Got it to work at set up but if you left the computor for a couple hours wouldnt find server and had to reset modem and router but the real fix was just to disconnect it,bury it, and buy something else.

    Well it works for me!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Feb 10, 2008

Pros: works reasonably for simple home network

    Cons: could have more features

Ok first of all you have to understand this is not a high end 100+ dollar router. yes the software that comes with it leaves something to be desired but actually you really don't need it. All you have to do is go into the router (through it's IP) and set it up that way. There's also an updated bios from d-link which is rather easy to install I noticed no one seemed to have the common sense to check for that..lol Sure when I first hooked it up it didn't recognize the internet etc... took a wee bit of fiddling which is why I didn't give it very high marks. it could to say the least be a little easier to set up. But after a few mins it was up and running and has worked fine for over 3 months Didn't need support other than going to d-link and downloading the latest bios. All I can say is have a little patience experiment a little with something before you lose patience and go well doesn't work and toss it. again you get in many way's here what you pay for. A low end router that will do the job as long as you don't expect to much from it as though it was a high end model loaded with features.

    worst ever router

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 4, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this D-Link Wireless G Router WBR-1310 review helpful

Pros: just thrown it in the garbage

    Cons: completely frustrated

I am amazed that such a brand name will create a crappy product like this. Highway robbery.
D-Link redeem yourself as company by recalling these..
instead they are getting rid of inventory by offering it free with mail in rebates in circuit city bundle packages etc.
probably circuit city got it for free.. shame on these companies for taking consumer for a ride.
the signal strength is erratic... sit next to the access point and still cannot get more than 24mpbs

D-link is a piece of crap

By Ken Nix  Jun 19, 2007

    Pros: none

    Cons: doesn't work, garbage

This product is garbage just like the garbage it's recycled from. The first on stopped working, now the 2nd has too. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK! Dlink should refund everyone's money for representing this as an actual product that works. We should get our money back! POS STAY AWAY FROM THIS ROUTER!

    Dlink 1310 router

    By Rick  Jan 26, 2007

    Pros: support tries very hard

    Cons: downtime

This wireless router, has been very finicky in allowing my laptops to access the internet
I have a simple internet/intranet,with a dlink 300G modem, with a mac, a powerbook , one sony pc and three laptops, toshiba, hp and compaq. The mac mini and the powerbook are the best for trouble shooting the problems, the pc laptops were hopeless and until we fudged the system, prayed to the gods ad did something (what I do not know...turn everything off and go away for a day) the three pc laptops could not connect.
Over the past week the system contantly stalls, the wiireless laptops go offline, and we are continually rebooting the router, the modem, the computers, I am hinking of trying a different brand altogether

DLink should be ashamed of this product

    By SaadR  Sep 17, 2006 | 7 out of 7 found this D-Link Wireless G Router WBR-1310 review helpful

Pros: Nothing except for tech support

    Cons: Everything... it doesn't work

Where to start... this router was the worst buy I have ever had. I am a very technical person and I would advise you to stay the hell away from this product. Dlink put their reputation on the line with this product and that line just broke. This product is filled with problems. First, reboot time is 30 sec. Sure it seems like nothing when you are reading this, but try looking at the clock for 30 sec. Then imagine having to do that every 2 minutes or so because the router just won't start up. I was with the technical support and they tried to do everything and nothing worked. The router's pwoer light would turn on but the router READY light would never turn on. When I got off, I unplugged the power, plugged it back in, waited for a few seconds (Which wou have to do with all routers... but only a few seconds) nothing happened. I went for a drink of water, came back and lo and behold, the router is working as if nothing happened. I suspected boot time. So I unplugged it, waited for 10 sec and plugged it back in. Nada. Nothing. Even after 2 min. I did that several times (yes, I wasted a lot of time, but my curiosity with why a DLink brand router won't work got the better of me). Only one more time, it worked after a LONG reboot time. This router 'piece' is not defective. The whole line is because my cousin bought the same router and we discussed it on the phone. He is having the exact same problems.

One more thing. Other routers, when you press the reset button, reset. No questions asked. This router... you have to press the button for 10 sec. 10 frikin seconds!!! C'mon, what gives? The button is already hidden and can be only pressed with a sharp object. If I am able to do that, I am pretty sure I Want to reset the router. Don't make me wait for 10 sec. to do that!!!. Also, it won't reset if its having the problem setting itself up (the problem which I wrote earlier). It will reset when it has set itself up (it sets up only once every 10 tries on average). All the other routers, no matter what happens, as long as the lights turn on (Even if they are the wrong ones) you can reset the router by just pressing the button. (resetting is rebootin btw for the non-technical people). Imagine windows not booting up 9 times and booting up 1 out of the 10 tries. Everytime you try a hard reset (pressing the reset button on the computer) nothing happens. The computer only is able to hard reset when windows works... pretty useless combination huh? The only way to 'reset' is to unplug the computer from the wall outlet and plug it back in. Plus, imagine having to press and hold the reset button for 10 sec instead of just pressing and releasing it. Great analogy huh? lol

Anyway, stay away from this router. DLink should call back all of them. They are a great company and this router is leaving a very black mark on them.
