The D-Link DWL-G700AP is an easy-to-use 802.11g wireless access point. Set-up is quick, but quality is poor. Set-up time is less than 5 minutes for a pro, or 10-15 mins for a novice. There are a few minor web-page design issues in the WIRELESS section when using WPA. WEP, WPA and WPA2 were tested and work flawlessly. Wireless MAC filtering also works both by exclusion and inclusion. DHCP works, but can be disabled if you have another DHCP server (ie, your actual internet gateway). Performance Sync rates are good. Generally, 36-54Mbit, even stuffed under a table, in a corner, through walls and electronics. Negotiation of encryption takes only a few seconds. Heat output is not noticed, even set to high transmit power. Warranty 1 year parts and labor. If a failure occurs, there is a support number to call.
