Further expansion on feeling and melody, and relies much more on vocals.Slightly more solid effort than youthanasia, however lacks "exceptional songs".Though an obvious attempt for a broarder mainstream audience, it flopped commercially, this is ...largely attributed to Mustaine vocals being so out of place from the music.Riffs - 4/5lead - 4/5singing - 2/5 - Out of place.complexity/
sophistication - 2/5intensity - 1 (1/2) / 2the songs - 4/5melody/feeling - 5/5lyrics - 4/5value - 3 (3/4) / 5No masterpeices or awesome tracksBut ...Trust, use the man, secret place and vortex are really good.the rest are all above average with the exception of 2-3 tracks.A very controlled album, & at times, a little boring.Still has progression from youthanasia, although not really dramatic. A slightly eerier atmosphereMegadeth have released better albums in both the thrashy and melodic eras.Good album all the same. Read more Less
