After departing from the Reno, NV, pop-punk troupe Zoinks in 1997, guitarist/vocalist Zac Damon moved on to form Crushstory that same year with guitarist Jim Bowers. Resulting in a package of '60s mod punk and '80s power pop, 702 Records released Crushstory's debut EP as a split with the Gain in 1999 followed by their self-titled CDEP that same year.
