This album fits the movie brilliantly. The extended percussive interludes during the fight scenes both accentuate the scene and stay out of the way of the action. Highly recommended.

The soundtrack for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon ranks as one of the best I've heard all year. The movie is an epic and the film score joins and supports it in a subtle symbiosis rare amongst this year's crop of productions. The score is on par with other great works such as Princess Mononoke or The Mission. More than mere underscore, each track has depth, cohesion and layers, which enables the CD to hold its own outside the theater as a complete and meaningful entity. This will be a wonderful addition to your music collection.
