Creepin' On Ah Come Up represent's the first album recorded by those five thugs under the name Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Their first album was actually FACES OF DEATH when they went under the name B.O.N.E. Enterpri$e. Anyway, this album is tight as hel...l. A great starter album, it's short enough for those simply checking out the Bone flow and style but not necessarily fans, and the album is also short enough for Bone fans because it will definitely have them wanting more. The five complete songs on the album are top quality and illustrate an unpolished and unrefined Bone Thugs. Overall, the album illustrated Bone's immense potential which was recognized in their following album, E. 1999 ETERNAL. Read more Less

  • All Music Guide

Bearing the kinship of West Coast gangsta rap legend Eazy-E, Ruthless Records signees Bone Thugs-N-Harmony scored a left-field anthem in summer 1994 with "Thuggish Ruggish Bone," the lead single from their debut release, the eight-song Creepin on ah Come Up EP. The group's harmonious, fast-paced rapping sets them apart from their gangsta rap contemporaries, as does their Midwestern locale. Another highlight here is "For tha Love of Money," which features Eazy shortly before his unexpected passing away. Capturing Bone in their prime, back when they were still a cohesive, functional unit with nothing to lose, Creepin on ah Come Up isn't such a worthwhile listen on its own, but "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" is perhaps the group's signature recording and undoubtedly essential listening for fans, either here or elsewhere, as the song would later be compiled on the Collection, Vol. 1 best-of (1998). [The 1999 re-release of E 1999 Eternal appended the Creepin on ah Come Up EP as a bonus disc.] - Ja...son Birchmeier, All Music Guide Read more Less

Biography

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony

Graced with a quick, sometimes sung delivery, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony burst out of the Midwest in the mid-'90s with a pair of massive hits ("Thuggish Ruggish Bone" and "Tha Crossroads") along with a great album (E 1999 Eternal) and then quickly unraveled. Eazy-E signed the group -- initially comprised of Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone, Flesh-N-Bone, Layzie Bone, and Bizzy Bone --... Read more
