   Pros: PRICE, sound quality, button placement

   Cons: size, software, lack of accessories

   after researching for about 2 months i was ready to buy a MP3 player, and i decided that i would rather pay $200 for 40gb instead of $200 for 20(Ipod sucks). I was surprised with the size of the nomad...its big, not huge, its about the size of 1/2 a cd case as opposed to the ipod's 1/3. but that is the only real downfall of the player. the other issue with the player is the bundled software which is absolute crap, i suggest you buy notmad($25), it stops you from getting mad.
   
   the player has a bright blue screen with great clarity and excellent menu organization. the sound quality is amazing... with its onboard EAX; this little thing gives amazing sound reproduction especially when connected to speakers.
   
   my jeans have large pockets so i always keep my player in my front pocket; the buttons are placed on the side of the player so i never have to take it out to switch tracks or put it on button lock. charging time is great, it's fully charged in about 2 hours, and unlike the Ipod, it has a replaceable battery a huge plus in the long run.
   
   it takes about 2 seconds to learn how to use it and the usb 2.0 makes xfering music a breeze. i xfered 25 gb of songs in about 2 hrs.
   
   overall this is an amazing buy that should not be overlooked. definately worth your attention at least. ...

   This player is without a doubt the best value you could find for a hard drive mp3 player. 30 GB is probably more than anyone will ever need so you're whole collection can be with you at all times just like mine is. The only negative i ever really hear about this player is it's size and i really do not agree, it is slightly bigger and bulkier than an Ipod but so much better. I got mine for less than what an Ipod mini costs. Thats 30 GB compared to 4Gb and i spent about 20 dollars less, now tell me that's not a deal. Also with Ipods you have to use itunes which just sucks more money out of you. I use a file sharing system called Limewire which only cost me 20$ for a year and i could find basically any song i look for. There is no comparison between this and other hard drive players it is the best. ...
