Cons: Sound could be richer, sat speakers tip over easy
I bought this system without much research but trusted the Creative name. It paid off in spades. The 2.1 speaker system was on sale and had a rebate that brought the cost to $69.
The setup was a breeze and the sound is great if a bit small sounding. Speaking of small it has a very small footprint for those realestate challenged desktops.
No need to read the instructions because there really aren't any worth the read. Good thing none are needed. With the color coded (green ended) system sound cable and unique sockets for each type of connection you can't make a mistake.
The 80W (peak) creates sufficient sound to fill a 20x24 foot room with vibrating base and clear low noise mids and highs. Plenty for most computer rooms.
The wired remote has on/off/volume and base -level controls as well as a convienent headphone jack. It's easy to mount on the side of your monitor with velcro (my setup) or leave loose on you desk top.
All and all a solid product and a good value. ...

Pros: Look great, decent sound, small footprint
Cons: Support, troubleshooting
I loved these speakers, they worked great for almost 4 months then nothing, they died. Sound was 5 to 10 times better than the Vaio speakers that came standard. Separate power & volume switch which is convenient, with headphone plug.
Called their support (not toll-free) and their operator theorized it sounded like a bad power supply, was given the choice: send the whole unit back, I pay for the shipping or buy just the power source & pay for the shipping on that (which he suggested would cost less). So I'm paying $20 to fix a problem on a warrantied product, and if it's not the power source, I can send it back plus the whole unit & they'll figure out what's wrong & pay for the shipping back. Well, it wasn't the power source so I get to pay for shipping everything back, not a happy camper. ...
