Part of England's short-lived, so-called "grebo" movement of the late '80s, Crazyhead was formed in Leicester and featured members with such colorful aliases as Ian "Anderson Porkbeast" (vocals), Reverb, Superfast Blind Dick, Vom, and plain old Kevin. Their 1989 debut for the Food label, Desert Orchid, featured underground hits in the singles "(What Gives You the Idea That) You're So Amazing, Baby?," "Baby Turpentine," and "Time Has Taken Its Toll on You." However, by the next year, the band's popularity was already declining, in spite of minor success with the EP Have Love, Will Travel. When Food dropped the group, Crazyhead moved over to the Black label in 1990 for the Some Kind of Fever album before disbanding.
