When Comedy Central was impressed enough with Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla's Man Show to give them another show, they turned to producer Daniel Kellison to help them with the concept. The three men came up with Crank Yankers, a revolving group of real-life prank phone callers who would then have their calls made into Muppet-esque scenarios for a TV show. Featuring the voices of comedians such as Tracy Morgan, Sarah Silverman, Dave Chappelle, Wanda Sykes, Denis Leary, and the show's creators, the group not only did the TV show, but also released a CD in 2002 to showcase the funniest calls they had made.
