Poor Quality

Cons: daughter likes it
My 4 year old daughter asked for this toy for Christmas. We immediately assembled it, creating the playhouse design shown in the instruction pamphlet. Although assembly of the structure is easy (snap the magnetic poles into the bases), the final assembled structure is very unsturdy and topples with hardly any contact. I am constantly hearing the cries of my little girl wondering why her playhouse is falling over (despite her light play ... she basically sits inside it with her blanket and stuffed toys, singing and playing). Attaching the fabric sides to the structure is another ongoing nightmare. The clips to hold the fabric to the structure are flimsy, and they have a problem of continually coming undone. Some of the fabric pieces are too big to cover the intended area, and others are just too small. Overall, I am quite disappointed in this toy, especially for the price, and feel it is a waste of money for the quality received. If there was a better mechanism to attach the fabric to the structure, it would improve this toy significantly. I'm tempted to box it back up and return it, but I think that would break my daughter's heart. ...

Pros: Versatility, ease of construction
Cons: Unstable, Not all required parts are included, not as many games as you think
Shortly after constructing the frame of the Carnival Clubhouse, two things happened: First, I sat back and marveled at how easy it was to build. Then I marvelled at how quickly our two year old dismantled it.
After removing the errant toddler from the room, I had it up and built. It looked nothing like the picture since the nylon cover pieces niether fit as well as those pictured and they all kind of sag and come detatched very easily. Especially since the goal of most of the games is throwing a ball or ring at most of them. Also, while constructing it I noticed that for a true sturdy construction the number of floor bases required to build the carnival clubhouse aren't included in the box. I'm glad it's easy to build because we found ourselves fixing it frequently.
As for the games, while some are classic carnival-type games, Cranium has taken great lengths to inflate the number of activities in the box. Some are no more different from each other than in one you throw a ball at a nylon panel while in another you roll it. Others are more dangerous. On the panel with a lion and hippopotamous, one game involves kids sticking their heads in the hole and roaring like a lion or yawning like a hippo, respectively. However, on the same panel, there's a game involving propelling balls through the animals' mouths via a foot plunger device. It doesn't take a sharp kid to realize the "fun" that can be had by combining the two. Some games are downright useless like the one that has the child face away from the clubhouse and attempt to throw a ball over their shoulder and have it land inside the clubhouse. Yippee.
Another matter is how much room the clubhouse takes up. Not only because of the toy itself, but also because kids need enough space to stand away from it to play the games. Also , I highly recommend is you remove anything breakable from behind it since one game has kids throwing a blue rubber ball at a target similar to knocking down milk bottles at a real carnival. Either remove anything that could break or place something behind it as a backstop (the nylon won't stop a ball for a kid older than 5 or 6).
While I don't think it's the worst concieved and designed toy ever, only people who really really like the Cranium super fort line and need to collect every part and own a large house should even consider buying it. While some of the games are fun, the product fails in poor design and lack of enough pieces for more sturdy construction. ...
